The Results of some Berea Kiwanis Activities
On January 24 2012 the city of Berea held their annual dinner to honor those individuals who make our community a better place The program was to recognize several of the leading volunteers, including Giant Eagle for Giving 15,000 dollar worth of food to Berea Welfare. Among the projects the Berea Kiwanis participated were to build a new Safety Town, put up and took down flags for patriotic holidays,putting up tents for Art Fest, and involvement in staffing the Grindstone Festivial,and the Jack Frost Christmas Parade. The theme of the event was,The heart of a VOLUNTEER is not measured in size,but the depth of the commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.

The Jim Tressel events were a great success. A very good time was had by all who attended. We will be posting more information and some photos from these events in the near future.
The Red Cross blood drive was held at the Berea Recreation Center on February 10th. Over 40 people participated. Thanks to Ron and Dorene Larkey for managing the event and to Helen Hignett and Jim Blatnik for distribution of the signs.
