Scholarships
The Berea Kiwanis Club annually awards 5-$2000 scholarships to seniors graduating from Berea-Midpark High School (BMHS). One scholarship is targeted for a Key Club member (selected by the Key Club advisor). One scholarship is targeted for a Polaris student and the other three are open to any BMHS senior. A committee of Berea Kiwanis members evaluates the applications and makes the selections. The primary focus of the selection committee is on SERVICE and LEADERSHIP. Awardees are invited to attend a Kiwanis meeting to receive their check. The high school controls the application process.
In addition, several $1000 scholarships are awarded to Baldwin-Wallace Circle K members. A committee of Berea Kiwanis members evaluates and selects the winners based on an application developed by Circle K. Selections and made in late spring with the awardees receiving their check at the Club's annual picnic.
